In cooperation with the educational institution "Jugend am Werk" öibf carried out an activation seminar forfor not currently active training companies on June 8th, 2016 .

"This event was organized in cooperation with Jugend am Werk, an educational institution which offers supra-entrepreneural apprenticeship (ÜBA) for young people who do not manage to get an apprenticeship in a company. Part of the apprenticeship is done during phases of in-company training (several weeks a year). Jugend am Werk tries to convey the participants of the ÜBA in regular apprenticeships in the companies where they had in-company training. Most of the companies offering short-time in-company training do not offer apprenticeships (any more). Therefore these companies (mostly SMEs) are a target group for the project Start App. Therefore oeibf and Jugend am Werk organized this multiplier event to activate companies to take part in apprenticeship. The main input of the event (presentation “Lehrlingsausbildung – Gute Gründe für Unternehmen“) dealt with pro and concs in regard to apprenticeship, showed how companies can benefit from participating in apprenticeship and how recruitment strategies could help . In a second input (“Rekrutierungsstrategien der Lehrlingsausbildung – Das Rekrutierungsmodell StartApp“) oeibf presented the recruitment model Start App, some golden rules and instruments of recruitment. Then Jugend am Werk gave a short presentation on its services for companies and on subsidies for training companies. Finally, the companies discussed their situation in regard to in-company training and apprenticeship and how to implement apprenticeship. Experts from oeibf and Jugend am Werk offered support in bilateral discussions."
